About
A Norwegian company selling what it buys itself
Klarseal is a brand of Archi Systems AS, registered in Norway under organisation number 916 683 332. We resell code signing certificates issued by Certum, a certificate authority on the EU Trusted List. We are not a certificate authority, and you should always know who signs your certificate.
Why this exists
Archi Systems AS writes software for architects and engineers, and ships it as Windows installers and plug-ins. Buying the first code signing certificate for those installers took far longer than it should have — not because of the price, but because nothing explained what was actually being bought. Three validation levels with no plain description of the difference. A hardware rule nobody named. A USB token quoted as though shipping one across a border were normal.
The certificate itself turned out to be straightforward. Everything around it was not. Klarseal is that second part done properly: a clear order, a company record read from the register instead of retyped, an application that reaches Certum complete, and a plain statement of which step is outstanding and who is holding it.

Who does what
We take the order and the invoice
Klarseal handles the ordering, the payment, the Norwegian MVA invoice and the status of your application. That is the part that is usually confusing, and it is the part we can control.
Certum validates and issues
Certum (Asseco Data Systems S.A., Poland) checks your company, runs the identity check on the person you name, and issues the certificate. Certum is named as the issuer in the certificate itself.
Your documents go to Certum, not to us
The process is built so that identity documents and the private key never reach Klarseal. The key is generated inside Certum’s hardware security module and stays there; you control access to signing.
Why Norway first
Norway is the market, not the language. The trust layer here is process rather than prose — things that only work if you are actually a Norwegian company.
Your company record, not a form
We read your company from Brønnøysundregistrene by organisation number, so the legal name on the certificate is the one in the register.
Certum validates the person
The identity check of the person who will hold the certificate is performed by Certum, not by us. The process is built so that identity documents never reach Klarseal.
An invoice your accountant accepts
Archi Systems AS is a Norwegian company, so sales to Norwegian customers carry 25 % MVA — businesses included — and the invoice carries the Foretaksregisteret line.
